Development of web-based tool kit and database
 
One of the activities in the project concerns developing a web-based cultural mapping tool kit and database including:

·          Developing consistent methodologies for data collection and analysis

·          Identifying data needs and gaps concerning quantitative and qualitative data

·          Ensuring coherent data sources

·          Developing tool kit through carefully evaluated learning-by-doing processes in selected pilot municipalities

·          Ensuring that tools can support local and regional public policy and decision making processes

·          Preparing “best practice” guidance manuals for eventual wider circulation and educational use

One of the first activities in the project has been to assemble and list existing reports and documentation on cultural planning and cultural activities in selected partner pilot projects.

Subsequently, the project has started collecting quantitative data about cultural actors in selected pilot municipalities.

This task will be implemented first of all by encouraging 500 cultural actors in Malmø Stad and Farum to answer the enclosed questionnaire

During the course of the project links will be provided referring to other regional and national cultural mapping and planning databases.
